What if I have a problem with the Host Hotel?
Contact the Tournament Director and he will help facilitate any hotel problems to the best of his ability.
How many people are allowed to stay in my hotel room?
Group rates allow two people per King room and three people per Queen/Queen room. If you have additional people in your room, you will be charged extra if you NOTIFY the hotel of the extra persons.
I need more beds, what do I do?
The hotel has roll-away beds available for a fee. There is no discount for our group and are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
How many rooms are available to us at the Tropicana Las Vegas host hotel?
There are 1,400 rooms blocked for the Sin City Shootout, per night. These rooms have sold out every year, so please do not wait to book yours.
When and where is registration?
The registration party for all sports will be held Friday from 4pm to 9pm in the main ballroom of the host hotel, the Tropicana Las Vegas.
What is a Tournament Wristband?
All athletes will get a Tournament Wristband upon registering for their sport at the Friday Registration Party. This wristband is required to enjoy the discounted drink and restaurant offers at the host hotels, nightly club and bar specials, as well as free shuttles throughout the weekend. Additional wristbands for friends and family members can be purchased at the Friday registration event for $10. These will be required to enjoy all of the benefits mentioned above.
What is a Tournament Mug?
The Tournament Mug is a super-sized drinking mug anyone can purchase at the Friday registration event for $10. Bring this mug with you to each host venue all weekend to enjoy discounted refills for the entire weekend, along with fantastic drink specials listed on the Events page!
A portion of the proceeds earned from the sale of Tournament Mugs are donated to a local LGBT charity.
When will the Round Robin Schedule and Field locations be posted?
It is our goal to have the Round Robin schedule (with fields) posted by January 7, 2017.
What time do games start?
Most sports begin at 8am on Saturday and Sunday. Please check each sports page for specific game times.
When are the Softball Championship games?
The championships will be held at approximately 6pm on Sunday, for all divisions so please make your travel arrangements accordingly.
What if my team needs a player or I am a player looking for a team?
Enter your information into the Player & Team Pickup database. This is a self-service page where you can add yourself or search for players.
I've been added to a team’s roster yet I still get calls from other teams.
Contact the Tournament Director to remove your name from the database.
I need to submit, add or delete a player from my roster. What should I do?
You can create a new roster via the Softball home page. Click the Update Roster button, make your additions or deletions and submit it by the roster deadline of December 24, 2016. Do not forget to include the roster DATE in the filename.
What other LGBT sporting events are going on?
There are currently 24 different sports represented at Sin City Shootout.
Where can I get information on the other sports?
You can visit the home page of any sport by clicking on their icon on the Home page or via the Sports drop down menu tab above. You can also pick up a player program at the Friday registration event for the location and times of each individual competition. The Schedule button on each sport's page will list event times and locations as they become available as well.
Where are the other participants staying and partying?
The Tropicana Las Vegas is the official host hotel for all sports. There are 1,400 rooms reserved each night of the tournament and they sell out every year months in advance. The secondary host hotel, the Platinum Hotel, is 100% gambling and smoke free. All suites are large "condo" style units with full kitchens, living rooms and a balcony. If both of these hotels sell out, we will offer a budget property close to the host hotel with a group rate for all participants.
