Answers to some Frequently Asked Questions:
Softball Schedule
- When will the Round Robin Schedule & Fields be posted? We hope to have the Round Robin schedule with fields posted by January 1, 2012.
- What time do games start?
Games are Saturday & Sunday with start times of 8 am. - When are the Championship games?
Approximately 6 pm Sunday for all Divisions. Please make travel arrangements accordingly.
Travel
- What if I have a problem with the Host Hotel?
Contact Tournament Director Eric Ryan and he will help facilitate any hotel problems to the best of his ability.
- How many people can I have in my hotel room?
Group rates allow 2 people per King room and 4 per Double room. If you have more then that in your room, you will be charged if you notify the hotel of the extra persons.
- I need more beds what do I do?
The hotel has roll-away beds available for a fee. There is no discount for our group.
- How many rooms are reserved at the Planet Hollywood host hotel?
We have 600 rooms a night blocked for the Sin City Shootout. Planet Hollywood is sold out, but our overflow host hotel the Tropicana has rooms available while they last.
Registration
- When and where is registration?
Registration will be Friday 4pm-9pm at Planet Hollywood's London area on the Mezzanine level. You can also register anytime before your first elimination game at the fields.
- What is a Tournament Wristband?
All Athletes will get their Tournament Wristband upon registration. It is required to enjoy the discounts and drink specials throughout the hotel, shows, restaurants and nightly venues. Additional wristbands for family and friends can be purchased at Registration for $10. They are required for VIP entry and drink specials.
- What is a Tournament Mug?
A Tournament Mug is a larger then normal sized drinking cup anyone can purchase at Friday Registration for $10. Take it with you all weekend to each host venue and you can get it refilled all night long with great drink specials listed on the events page! A portion of the proceeds from the Tournament Mugs are donated to a local LGBT charity.
Softball Rosters
- What if my team needs a player or I am a player looking for a team?
Enter your information into the Pick Up Player database on the "Teams" page.
- I've been added to a team’s roster and keep getting calls from other teams?
Email the Tournament Director to remove your name from the database.
- I want to add or delete a player on my roster, what do I do?
Complete a new roster which can be found by pressing the Softball Register button on the Home page. Make your current additions or deletions and submit it by the roster deadline, December 24, 2011.
Multiple Sports
- What other LGBT sporting events are going on?
Along with Softball, there will be Tennis, Wrestling, Basketball and Body Building competitions going on all weekend.
- Where can I get info on the other Sports?
You can click the register button for each sport on the "Home" page OR pick up a player program at the Friday registration event for the location and times of each individual competition. Also, the "Schedule" page will list each sports event times and locations as they become available.
- Where are the other participants staying and partying?
Planet Hollywood is the official hotel for all the sports. Each sport will also be participating in the Friday registration event and nightly host venues all weekend across Las Vegas.
